 POST GRADUATE STUDIES

My postgraduate study is something that I have always had in mind. Even before entering the university, I still did not know that I would enter the university and I already thought that I wanted to continue studying.

Although I am clear that I want to continue studying after finishing my degree, I don't know what exactly. As you know, I study architecture and I think it is a career that covers many areas that become confusing for me. I want to study them all and perfect myself in all of them!! But if I had to pick something fast right now it would be a postgraduate degree in big buildings. It's a little weird but I like to feel smaller than I am next to a big building and even more so if it's made of only glass as a material. It's intimidating but fascinating at the same time so I would like to perfect myself in that area. Another area in which I would like to perfect myself and that I also like for now is the study of materials. I would like to find and make materials that have never been seen before.

I would love to study abroad, especially in countries that are the greatest exponents in architecture, one of them being the United Arab Emirates. I would like it to be part time so that it gives me the opportunity to get to know the surroundings and work.

WHY I CHOSE ARCHITECTURE From a very young age I was clear that I wanted  to study architecture since I was 6 years old. And when I heard about it, I really liked it because it covered the areas that I liked the most, which are drawing, mathematics and physics, in which I was also very skilled. I grew up with the idea of one day building the house of my dreams, chance that I had I draw my house. Although when I enter the career I realized that architecture is not only building houses. Although I was clear about what I would do with my studies, when I finished high school I doubt ed if it was really that I wanted. My fear was always to enter the career and that I didn't like it, so I tried to find other careers that I liked and I found design and arts. they are also related with areas that I like it but I did not love them as much as the architecture career did, so I stayed with my only option and here I am as an architecture student. Luckily I liked the career because other...
ANXIETY: OUR ENEMY In educational establishments, these issues are not discussed as deeply as they should be, given the numbers in our country, and an opportunity is wasted to provide students with the help they might need. The stress caused by the school load is a taboo subject and is interpreted in most cases as the student's lack of interest in their academic performance, when in fact it could be a factor that could have a negative impact on the student's health. The Chilean student is overloaded by the number of evaluations whose purpose is to satisfy the need for standardized data on student performance, according to Eurydice.   Schools, high schools, subsidized establishments, etc., should represent a suitable and healthy environment for students since they spend at least half the day in the establishment. Today's students live in a constant state of stress and pressure as a result of the full school day (JEC) where anxiety levels rise that often lead to depre...
MY FUTURE JOB! Right now, I am in my fifth semester of architecture and a few years away from starting my working life. The truth is that I am still not very clear in what I will specialize in, but if you made me choose an area at this time, it would be the construction of large works such as buildings, malls, etc. Although it is just an idea that I have in mind that may change in the future, I have imagined practice a career in that area and for now I love it. I would like to start working in an office and when I have enough experience to be able to work independently in which I can vary the work inside four walls and outdoors although I think it is more convenient to work outdoors since you learn more from the experience and reality of the city than from an office where there is no notion of what is happening outside of it. I would like for the place where I am working to allow me to travel abroad so that I can not only learn nationally but also learn internationally. At the ...
